As the Gazette health reporter, I’m responsible for a wide array of health-related news in the Pikes Peak region. I cover hospitals, public health, medical advancements, disease trends, health care policy, and the business of health care, among other items. My information comes from a variety of sources, vetted for accuracy and reliability.
I’ve been a reporter at The Gazette since July 2004. Before taking over the health beat, I was an education reporter. My journalism career began seven years ago at The Durango Herald, in Southwest Colorado. I left there as day city editor, in part to return to my passion for writing stories. I graduated from Baylor University, in Waco, Texas, in 1999.
